Paul R
Hi, Just been out in my car and I noticed in second gear that I didnt seem to get much boost. I floored it and it pulled quite hard but not as hard as it usually does. I also dropped from 5th to third yesterday and floored it and I didnt seem to get much boost then either. I let my foot off the throttle a bit and then full on and I got full boost. However, there is no smoke or anything like that. Is this a sign of the turbo's giving up? I'm wondering if this is a side effect of heatsoak from the K&N filter? Hope it's not the turbo's otherwise I'm buggered!! I've got no cash left :( Paul. Terminator
If you suspect you are loosing boost check your hoses first. A small leak goes a long long way:p

I notice a bit of oil coming from the intercooler pipe coming from the turbo to the intercooler. Perhaps this could be the suspect? Paul.
Terminator
You may get dampness inside the pipe. If you have oil on the out side the pipe may be loose. You have to check them all. Start by checking some of the big hose fastenings some may need tightening up.

eyefi
a certain amount of oil inside the pipe is acceptable, not any real wetness or pooling. before u start to worry, check that you r loosing boost. u got a boost gauge?

Lol. Everything sounded more or less normal. However, come to think about it, I didnt get a psst out of the dump valve when I let my foot off the throttle. I'm thinking loose hoses as well now. hmmm... Paul.
