lowering my supe

will be looking to get the supe lowered soon and was just wondering if id get away with just changing the springs. not sure just yet how low i want to go but was thinking about somewhere around 35mm. its currently on 17's although i will be changing them to 18's quite possibly 19's. has anyone had theirs done with just springs and whats the main differences between changing the springs or the whole suspension?

TBH to get the best out of 19's coilovers were the way for me.

i changed just springs with no problems. i use the yellow bilstein/eibach set up which lowers around 35mm. Make sure you have full geometry set up done straight after installation though

19's handle like a bag o shite. stick with 17" or if you must go up to 18's

 

I had 19" on mine got it lowered and rubbed like a bugger, and when i dropped 18's the handling on the soop was so much better.

It will depend on the width and offset of your wheels and the tyre sizes fitted, whether they will rub the arches or not. I would advise either fitting the wheels first or fitting a set of height adjustable coilovers so you can adjust the height as desired.
