EddyS
Hi everyone, I've had my Supra (94 J-Spec TT Auto) about 2 months now, but it's been in the household for about 3 1/2 years, so i know what's been done to it etc. I've noticed a couple of things recently that are annoying/worrying me. 1. If i hit a big bump, the o/s rear wheel/suspension sometimes makes a banging sound - This also happened about a year ago when my Dad was backing off the drive (there's a bit of a dip as you come off the drive) and the suspension compressed and then came back up...it banged (not even at speed). At that time, we jacked the rear up and checked it all out, put it back down and it never happened again. I suspect this is the same thing come back. Any ideas? 2. The power steering sometimes "flutters", if i turn the wheen quicker than normal, when parking for example, the wheel shakes a bit. As if the pump is giving up? I had this on my celica when the belt used to slip. Could it be that? The cars done 59,000 miles, should i be expecting these problems? Cheers
pistonbroke
The steering flutter could just be tyre bounce, other than that, check the fluid level and make sure theres no leaks. The banging noise from the rear could be loads of different things, shocks, top mounts, ARB bushes etc etc..........
