supra sam
hi guys:) Just wondered if anyone else has come across this or can shed any light on it? At the weekend I removed some of my intercooler pipeing for cleaning but when I did I noticed that the inside of the piping was covered in quite a lot of oil [/sHOCK] Iv spoken to someone with a bit more experience with turbo engines than me(not sups tho) and he seems to think he has come across this and it's normal. I’m not convinced tho especially as i have also noticed that there is even sum oily residue that has been spat out of the BOV [sHOCK] /vbb/images/smilies/bbcode_shock.gif /vbb/images/smilies/bbcode_shock.gif My best guess is that it has something to do with the turbo oil seals? Any help and advice would be much appreciated

Scooter
whoa there, there is a coating of oil in everyones ic pipes...........one end of the scale is normal and nothing to worry about the other end is turbo seals and £'s If the car isn't using any noticable quantity of oil then don't worry. I'd look in the airbox for signs of oil and check for blue smoke from the exhaust........

If it drips out alot then take it to a Supra specialist
supra sam
Thanks 4 the advice guys Glad to hear it's not unheard of, will defiantly look at getting it checked out in the near future the car seems to be running fine and I have only had to top up the oil slightly over the last few months. I hope for my sake it is not the turbos otherwise........
