DamanC
Hello fella's, Im currently in the market for a FMIC and will be fitting it behind a stock bumper but am concerned about the lack of airflow the stock bumper is going to give me. Ill only be BPU btw, but is the stock bumper enough? Cheers
Kopite
Not been a problem for Ryan Woon, he's a tad more than BPU
SupraStar 3000
The only problem maybe if you have a active spoiler. The mechanism might interfere with the Hard pipes and FMIC so you probalbly will need to remove the spoiler. can anyone else confirm?
DamanC
No Active spoiler here! but would be interesting to know as i was thinking about fitting one
Kopite
You can keep the active spoiler but it won't be retractable. A few members (ChrisB comes to mind) have FMICs and have the active spoiler on still
Obiwan
You wont have even the slightest problem with airflow concerns. I cant tell you how many 1000+ rwhp cars we have done with stock body kits. (my personal favorite even though my car is heavily kitted) However proper choice in FMIC is crucial for power, etc. Alot of people cheap out and get FMIC's like the HKS type S which heat soaks easily and is a terrible choice for big power. So make the right decision now and you will be happy you did down the road. If you need help with anything feel free to connect with me. paul mac
run 500 rwhp on a stock bumper, i did have to do some slight cutting just to make it neat, the stock ureathane bumpers cut very easy with sharp tin snips, i really dont see how you could keep a working active spoiler with a full size fmic though
