pics required for 265 tyres on 10"

Thorin, guys im not after the best fit so to speak, i want a narrow fit look like the V.dubbers do mate....maybe later when i've grown up and gone single ill go for fatter tyres:D

 

we're not saying that they'll fit but should be bigger, we're saying that a 255 would be too narrow for a 10" rim (i.e. it could be dangerous to stretch a tyre so narrow onto a wider rim).

 

265 minimum mate, definitely.

Again I ask why? Looks crap IMO, like you couldn't afford the proper width tyres.

Personally I like the look on most German cars mate, not really seen it done on a Supra yet. also looks well on Drift cars!!!

 

Just found this site that has loads of info on tyres, also has a tyre size calculator and rims calculator. You put your tyre size in and it will tell you what size rims you can run on them. 255/35 tyres go up to a 10J rim!!!!

in that case i apologise, it might not be dangerous as such to put a 255 tyre on a 10j rim but i'd certainly feel safer it it were't stretched to fit.

Thanks mate, but i wasnt worried about the safety aspect as i knew it would be ok, i just wanted to know which gives the narrow look which im looking for, i know 255's would, just wanted to know if the 265's would, again before i get the book thrown at me, this isnt a "What do you think?" "is it safe" thread.
