dandan Posted January 13, 2004 Share Posted January 13, 2004 Hi people, Going to be fitting my new front tyres pretty soon and need alignment checked. I have 245 40 18 on front and 275 35 18 on rear. Can anyone recommend some figures for me to produce when I get it done? I'm aware of the "Lance" figures on mkiv, but has anyone tried these on 18's and if so, what are your opinions? dandan Posted January 13, 2004 Author Share Posted January 13, 2004 Thanks Michael, I had already made a note of those settings but wanted to know what people have actually had theirs adjusted to in practice. ie Consistent good results at stock settings, acceptable wear, etc so ideally stick to stock setup. or have Lance's settings proved to be better than stock and "recommended" by most? SMW Posted January 19, 2004 Share Posted January 19, 2004 Dandan I had Lance's settings applied to my car recently When I had the four wheel alignment done at Micheldever. I'm pleased with the resultant improved feel from the steering although I haven't done enough mileage as yet to gauge wear on tyres.
