MONKEYmark Posted January 8, 2004 Share Posted January 8, 2004 last time i bought some i read somewhere it takes 12 liters so i bought 4x 4liter tins did not use it all, still got 2 full tins for when i get my new box put in this week. how do you check fluids so you got enough in, and can 2 much be bad? i have an aftermarket gearbox cooler in too. Terminator Posted January 8, 2004 Share Posted January 8, 2004 Too much fluid is bad it should be between the marks on the stick after a good run and working through all settings while running the engine. roscodav Posted January 8, 2004 Share Posted January 8, 2004 Litterally in the middle of me getting enough ATF fluid to do my full system flush, Toyota changed the cans... They now do not do the old 4 liter metal cans for £25 +vat. They do the new 5 liter plastic cans for about £38+vat...... seamed a little out of proportion to me.. see post below http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=14293&highlight=fluid I tried 3 garages and the only 4 liter ones available where what was left in stock at the branch.
