Dash sprayng

Recommended Posts

I know there are loads of threads on these things and they seem to come up every month but I cant find the answer to my question.

I've just been sanding down my dash to spray it and have aquired a blister or two but it occured to me that you cannot remove the gator from the gear stick as it is stuck down.

To the guys who have sprayed their dashes themselves... how did you get around this? did you tape down the surround remove it and stick it back on or what?

I cut a cerial packet out to fit the large whole (you may need an adult to help with the cutting) I then used sticky back plastic to cover the parts it missed and then could resist tring to make Tracey Island

I've removed most of the rubber from the dash but I am having a few issues with the tighter gaps like where the recess is for the screws on the top part of the dash and where the small displays are telling you that your door is open etc. How did you guys get in these gaps? Do you have any suggestions or tips?

Pour nail varnish remover on it, wrap a thin bit of cloth over a small flat headed screwdriver and carefully scrub it off. :) Needs a great deal of patience!! :banghead:
