Supra ST Myster
If the camera van was sitting in a 60 zone, can they get you in the 50 zone just before it turns into the 60 zone or do they messure you in the zone they are in?? I have done a small map, oh please excuse the details, not quite to scale but you get the point, plus im on Holiday so have plenty of time to do this :d I wasnt Speeding as behind another car but just curious. Pixelfill
I'm not sure either. However I would imagine that they have set up in that location with the specific intention of catching people jumping the signs. i.e. up to 60 before entering the 60 zone. With the layout you have drawn, I can see it's a prime site for this purpose. Mike
andrew7
Yes. The camera is set up at a defined distance. They can clock you up to 800 yards from the van. If they have set the camera to (in this instance) 300 yards, they know full well what the speed limit is there. After all, when they sit on motorway bridges it is not a 70mph limit on the overpass road is it?.....
Class One
Quality picture Emin. Yep if the camera is pointing towards the 50 zone then thats what they're policing. Remember the limit starts AT THE SIGN not when you see it or as most people do when slowing into villages about 150yds AFTER the sign.
