Dudes

Just been reading up on PSP's am I correct in thinking only 1.5's & 2.0's can play copy games?

Also do the copy/back up games just save to flash? I'm a little confused as to what the procedure would be to get back up games to work on the PSP? :search:

TIA

ok it this simple.......1.5 are only version that can play backup games.

But a 2.0 can be downgraded to a 1.5

To play backup games an emulator is put on the memory stick with the iso file (the game)

you run the emulator from the psp menu's (like you would to run a game) and from the emulators menu system you select the game...which is then run :)

the games are downloaded off the web ranging in sizes of 70mb to 600mb zipped.

You buy a 1gb or 2 Gb memory card and the game file is put on there. You can have more then one game on a Memory stick. So you connect PSP to computer via USB cable and put it stright on to the PSP

The emulator program is also stuck on the same memory stick, when the emualtor is run it looks on memory card for .iso files and lists them in its menu and then you just select it and it runs.

Yes the PSP takes UMD's some of the emulators require a UMD to be in there (i.e the demo one) others can run without a UMD in the drive

far i use the website your looking at...keeps it simple and all downloads you could need on there.

If you mean get hold of a 1.5 psp then second hand only also 2.0 second hand only (if there any 2.0 left) see some people upgraded and thats it..useless for playing backups.

Im lucky i bought a 2.0 UK psp so mine has full warranty with receipt and UK model and now a 1.5

at moment im really looking forward to the N64 emulator they are doing
