Can someone give me a run down of Ibiza, Ibiza town and San Antonio in general.

 

I'm probably going in August with friends and wondered where are good places to stay. I've heard that San Antonio is where many of the super clubs are, but whats in Ibiza Town?

i agree, I wentr to magaluf and the chavs had got there

 

was meant to be there for 2 weeks but came back after 6 days

The place they're thinking about staying at is closer to Ibiza town, around the sound east of the Island.

 

Obviously they'll want to visit San Antonio for the clubs etc, but any idea what else is in that area worth seeing?

Ok, I went last year with mates (girls and boys) of mid 20s. Stayed at a place in San Antonio bay called The Rosalia. Smallish Hotel but VERY very well run by guy called Nico and his brother. Small pool but clean, just like the rest of the place. San Antonio has Es Paradis, Eden, Cafe Del Mar, Cafe Mambo etc and the infamous "strip" which is basically a street full of bars and mini clubs. Some of these are good and some arent so good, but you will get dragged in to all of them at some point and will soon work out your favourites. The strip is full of pissheads, not really clubbers. Most of the people here stay at the Brisa hotel up the road from Rosalia, which has a bigger pool and most of the occupants run riot around the place all night long.

 

If you stay in Ibiza Town you have El Divino (posh club, host to Hed Kandi most years), Pacha, Space etc. This is definately the trendier side of Ibiza Id say. Couldnt really tell you about the hotels here.

 

Amnesia, Privilege are kind of in the middle so your gonna need a taxi but god is it worth it :d

have been to ibiza but can honestly say i didn't like san antonio etc at all.

 

if possible, get somewhere to stay away from there and get transport to wherever you want to go. As Toyotatom said, Amnesia and Privilege are out of the town so you'd need to get a taxi anyhow.

 

am sure you'll enjoy yourself though.

I'm aware of San Antonio generally being full of chavs and drunks so kinda happy they avoided going to stay there. Although I guess a visit shouldnt be out of the question

 

I think it was Playa Den Bossa / Goleta where they were going to stay, which according to the map isnt too far from Ibiza town.

 

Oh and the bad news - I now only have around 2 months to lose the Beer gut and tone up a bit!

Playa Del Bossa is a nice place as I recall. Think we went through/past it en route to somewhere??

 

Agreed on chavs in San Antonio, you wouldnt believe the things that go on down the strip. And the cleanup operation every night!! dont know how the locals put up with some of our nations chaps and chappettes. Go to Eden for Judgement Sundays and Es Paradis for water parties. Bar M is also cool there...

 

Mrs is calling me for dinner now, more later.
