Sparky's & Connectors

Hi, just took one of my old spark plugs out today, which were the Denso PK20R 11. You guys think that the connector plug will cause a problem, I removed it really slow but it kind off fell apart

Here's some pics of the plug as well:

Just add, can I put the coil pack the wrong way around or is it same both ways ?

As Merckx said in the other thread the Spark plugs do look very black and sooty, I don't know how long they have been in there for, does the state of them give some kind of hint:blink:

cheers

Thanks LeeT, I have the Silkolene engine Oil sitting here and the oil filter, I'm getting the spark plugs tommorow but just a bit concerned on the look of that plug(s):( .

I went to Mr T after posting in the previous thread today and ordered the Breather hoses and the connector things for the coil Packs (£7) each, ordered a couple, so should have them by Sat.:D

Its me again :D , does anybody on here sell Spark plugs, Mr T is asking £10 a plug and I don't think thats right.[ANGRY][/ANGRY]

thats how much they cost. you could run NGK bcpr7es which are only £12 for a set of six but will need replacing every few thousand miles. I run them with no problems as do a lot of other members on here

Are you sure mate, because in the FAQ thread by Alex the PK20R11 Denso's are copper plugs for which £10 each is a high price imo  .

I'm not try to go down the cheaper route here to save money, I just dont want to pay for something that isn't worth, what I will pay for it. I do want to go for the Denso's as thats what the car had anyway but want to pay the right price for them.

Thanks

toyota supplied plugs as far as i know should be platinum and thats why they are so expensive. the plugs that i have recommended are copper core and you wont have any problems with them. im quite sure the P in PK stans for platinum

Yes, I think they are Platinum and not copper as it says in the other thread. Just googled it and its coming up as a Platinum plug, should have done that first :D .

Cheers for the website link Alan. They work out to be a hell lot cheaper than Mr T. £6 per plug vs £11 per plug from Mr T (both the same make - Denso PK20R11's) .

Going to order them today.

Thanks guys

I think I have decided to go for the Iridiums, however I am unsure whether it will be the IK20's or the IK22's. The plug that was in the car was a PK20R11 and I think it was platinum (if you have a look at the pics posted earlier).

According to Alex write up on spark plugs in the FAQ section, I think the IK22 is the replacement Iridium for the PK20R11 Platinum plug.

Sorry guys, I just want to make sure I am going for the correct plug and not have any problems afterwards. Help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Still in the drive mate, need to get insured (currently insured on my dads name but he's away on holiday ; ( . I've just not had the time for it, probably next week when I'll have it on the road.

I was just trying to keep it healthy :D :D
