Strange AFR Reading - Ideas please

Dragonball

Recommended Posts

Took the P&J up to Thor to get it set up with the hybrids / S-AFC / Injectors / new sparks etc - so fair old amount of sorting out to do

Try as we might - whenever the second turbo came on line the AFR would shoot through the roof (from .75 to over 3!) in a large 'peak'

This despite rebooting the dyno / checking sensors etc

There was no loss of boost pressure when this happened - taking it very easy we took it up to 1.3 BAR and 375HP (without boost controller on!) - before backing of and reaching for Chris Wilsons number for a restrictor ring

Leading us to believe that there is an air ingress somewhere after the second turbo that comes on line at WOT - fooling the AFR reading (basically if this had been a correct reading then Coventry would be still covered with the fallout!)

Any ideas where this might be?

Thanks to pete BTW - we set it up as best as poss and leaned it right out where necessary - but left it richer in the 'grey' area

Drives like a dream (still taking it easy) and the take-up is better than my old stock turbos!

Any input very welcome techies

You've probably seen the other thread by now, but i'm embarassed by myself:blink: What an idiot!

My name is Carl - its (and i'm) very English (after coming from Germany!), but people call me Carlos and its a bit more interesting than just Carl. And the 'SC' is (a) because 'Carlos' is already taken and (b) I drive a Soarer, but I prefer the Lexus SC400 name, hence Carlos_SC:D

ITS NOT ME!!

Whoever it was is an idiot. And i'm not!!

I can see how you all think it's by one and the same person, but I can guarantee it not.

I have no idea how it happens - John says its even from the same IP, but nobody uses my PC apart from me.

If you want convincing, these are my posts - do they really look like those that were posted? The only time I am offesive is when It is someone I know and I am joking:)
