Is this a fuel additive? If so, I haven't come across it, it sounds more like a ceramic exhaust coating! I use Toluene as a cheap octane booster, works well on turbo engines. For more critical applications I bite the bullet and run race fuel, either F3 control fuel or if regs permit, or for track day cars, i run 86 brand race fuel, which is available in lots of formulae. Actually, just found one of our suppliers does a product called ceracote, see the following web page, and before anyone thinks some of these products sound cool we are talking F1 / F3 and aerospace budget prices for some of these ultra trick products. Thanks, but I suspect the product on the site I listed is NOT the one you are talking about, a quick search suggestsb there are many ceracote named products around. If it's of any interest I know of none, zero pro race engine builders who use ANY additives in the oil at all. I have never ever seen any kind of performance increase with an additive, but have seen plenty of problems... I have been known to run additives in gearboxes and diffs though, but usually to quiten a squawking plate type diff for road usage. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

This stuff is just what I'm after, it is attacted to coat certain items in a fine ceramic infill and is very attracted to the valve stems and this is EXACTLY what I want. Along with the Skyline the 1JZ has only one weakness (it ain't that common either) but the stem seals do eventually give, mine are fine (I'm sure) but this stuff does a great job of assisting the seal regain its co-hesion, the Guy who sells it and (more importantly) the users claim that it stopped the 'tell-tale' 'smoky start-up' if left for 2+ days syndrome, and in some cases after 9 months and a fair number of oil changes the 'condition' has not returned. It goes in this week-end. Oh, it is not cheap, infact you can say, very very very expensive!
