RLTC Software Probs

Hi,

Had the RLTC this week, what an awesome bit of Kit! However it is running on the std settings at the min and I am trying to apply one of Terminators dats.

I can run the Racelogic Windows App to view the RLTC settings fine. However, when I try to use Grahams app to view/load the new dat it cannot connect to the RLTC.

I am using a laptop with XP SP1 and using a USB-Serial port to connect.

Anyone encountered a problem like this before

Cheers

i had the same problem it turned out to be that the com port on my lap top was set up incorectly. got a mate to assign the serial port on the lap top to com 3 then selected com 3 in the rl software and all was ok. if you think that the stock settings are good youre going to love terminators dat file

Check Task Manager to see if you have anything that my be using com1. I know Road Angel causes conflict with RL hook ups unless it is closed before I hook up to the RL unit, as it is automatically going to com 1 on startup.

I had a laptop that had no RS232 port only USB and it was no good for using RL.

Be careful using the RL app for anying other than veiwing files.

hi

what pc lead do you need to get rltc on pc

i have never changed mine as i dont have a lap top. built a small pc for clifford alarm and rltc and other stuff

is it a female serial to male serial?

would not mind having a look at changing dats and saving original ones to disk

and what software you use to read and change settings. dont know what i did with my floppy disk

thanks

Managed to get it working this morning. I found if I powered up the laptop with the USB serial port + Racelogic connected then it worked fine.

Phil - your dat file is the dogs b***ocks - many thanks.

Do you want the original settings file?
