Great links these thanks allot. My car has a Greddy E01 fitted. Am I right in thinking I could connect 1 of my anolog inputs from the external harness to the 02 sensor on the ECU and get an accurate reading that way. Think it would be handy to keep an eye on AFR anyway.

Im ordering some connectors from Toyota tomorrow and also a rocker gasket.

Im also ordering plugs. Not sure where from or what type though. any ideas.

The car is not running at high BHP. It has an HKS exhaust with the rear cat removed, an induction kit and an E01 running at 1.0 bar. when its working that is.

Don't bother monitoring the stock narrowband for AFR purposes, as that link explains it's completely useless for anything other than closed loop off-boost stuff.

I think you need to see what airflow voltage values are reaching the ECU. If it's completely off then that's your problem there. If it's not then the MAP sensor, FCD, some vac hosing, and some wiring are removed from the suspects list.

Youve got me thinking now mate but then again NO certainly didnt put desiel in. Another revolation ive found though is which ever prick that changed the plugs before I bought the car rounded all the coil pack screws off, i had a nightmare getting them out and on top of that when I cross referenced the plug number they were for a N/A and not a TT.

Some people just dont care.

Hodge,

I think I'm correct in saying (I have a IJZ) you probably didn't have to remove the coil packs from the mounting bracket, those screws always round off apparently.

Lift them out on the bracket mate (two 10mm bolts), it's a lot easier, unless you are going to change the coil packs that is...:)

Yeah, undo the two 10mm bolts holding each pair in and pop them out en bloc. Those screws I call "Toyota Lead Screws" as they may as well be made of lead. They round off almost instantly, frickin useless they are.

Thats what I did and they came out a dream. After that I just got the screws out with mole grips. Ive just got some 5mm allen bolts to replace them from the work and they fit a treat. ive ordered my plugs today and also 2 of those connectors that go onto the top of the coil packs. i only need 1 but thought id better get 2 didnt want to tempt fate.

once I get it back together, hopfully I can get it to tick over so I can check the air/fuel ratio. its a lovley sunny day up here and the Supras in my garage.
