Guest slimboyfat
New forum member here - just dropping by to say hi! Don't have a Supra yet, but that's not through lack of trying! Is it me or is it nigh on impossible to find an unmodified, non-thrashed UK spec TT in/around Surrey!!! Please pm me if you know any different! Until then, I'll just carry on mooching around in my 1990 Celica GT - not a supra, but a damn site better than something the wife would rather me drive - like a bloomin' Fiesta! Cheers! Guest slimboyfat
I have to say, it's not easy. I've been wanting one for ages, and now that I've got the money ready to spend I can't find one Just need to find one before my wife finds that money

Guest slimboyfat
It's the insurance/maintenance that puts me off. Or am I being silly? Do you guys get decent insurance?
Nic
It's the insurance/maintenance that puts me off. Or am I being silly? Do you guys get decent insurance? to the club. The extra you'll spend on insurance, you'll probably save on the price of the car, as UK's usually demand a premium. Maintenance is the same whether it's UK or Jap (ie. expensive )

Mike
Is it? I find it's the slippery slope that gets expensive. well said... it's the add-ons that are expensive... The servicing (I've found) is slightly cheaper than 'say' keeping up service history on a newish Astra.... not at Toyota mind, find a good in dependant... like Toyda in Fareham (kind of near Surrey..?!) by the way and good look with the search... go Jspec in my opinion or you'll be waiting around for a while.. Kev.O
Welcome mate. Are you after a manual or auto? There's usually a few autos for sale, it's the manual one's that don't pop up much
Guest slimboyfat
Either really, but I'd prefer a manual - more so because most of my driving is down country roads - which means a lot more fun with a manual What's a good price for a UK spec car? The prices I've seen vary from 7k to 11k. I've even viewed one manual car that was priced at 12.5k and was nowhere near worth it - bloody great scratch down the side of the car, 115k miles on the clock, misaligned body panels and the interior looked like it had been abused by kids! That trader was having a laugh! Nicest one I've seen was local, but the guy decided not to sell in the end
