PFA Young Player Of The Year

Obviously the actual player of the year didn't really have much debate - the usual suspects - Gerrard, Rooney, Henry etc but as for the young player of the year I've got a serious issue:

How in the god damn hell does Aaron Lennon get a nomination having made only a handful of starts, yet Momo Sissoko does not? Sissoko has been one of, if not the most consistent player for Liverpool this season, and has certainly played a lot more than Lennon. I'm not disputing the fact that Lennon is a great prospect, but young player of the year? I'm sorry but Sissoko MUST be considered for this accolade.

I have to disagree now ... being Suprs through and through dont help but what a great young English player he is !!!

He has helped us win so many games and is one of the fastest wingers that there in in the Prem.

He is a great talent and at only 18 he has so far still to go, so i think its a great honour for him to be put up for it, and he will player for England one day easily.

I would say isnt it unfair that Rooney gets put in both youth and Senior player of the year !!! Should they not just pick one for him an give some one else a chance.

Is it only open to Premiership players? Football does exist outside of the Premiership you know.

Ask any Saints fan! :D

Yeah but to be fair, I reckon I could play pretty well in the Championship, and I've not played amateur for 4 yrs! :p

Besides, I think it actually IS only open to Premiership players!

I totally agree that he's a fantastic prospect for the future both with Spurs (damn) and England, and will undoubtedly be a long term replacement for Mr (OMG, I have to clean everything and make sure things are where they should be) Becks :D however he should not be in the running if Sissoko isn't. For me, they have made similar impacts, although I still believe Sissoko has been a more consistent performer overall, so it's either both, or neither for me.

With regards to Rooney, yeah totally agree, it's daft he can win both, although I really doubt he will. It's like with under 21's, bet he wouldn't be allowed to play for England U21's anymore. Oh, and C. Ronaldo? Why? He's had an average season at best.

Here's a point, can you only play for Preston if you're from the north end of Preston? Or is it cos they can only afford one quarter of a stadium so they named it after the end they could afford?!! :p

Heh :D Im sure you can play for preston if your from the south end too

Still i think this guy is going to be a big hit in the prem league.
