wez_p
anyone already bought one of these from here? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Toyota-Supra-JZA80-Front-mount-intercooler-with-piping_W0QQitemZ8049608207QQcategoryZ72205QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem is it still 'get what you pay for' or do we have sufficient people that have gone the cheaper route to say it's worthwhile? Surely its got to be better than the stock intercooler and i bet Toyota charge more than £400 for theirs. - just had another look and the picture looks odd, either there was droplets of water on the camera lense or something has been blurred out ??? SupraJames
Does look like quite a good deal. You would also need a new header tank as well though, so little more cost on top. Looks very nice though, depends on how good the flow through the IC is though, dont want it smothering your rad..!
JohnA
A clear closeup of the INSIDE would be useful before jumping into premature conclusions. As for the 'no modification' installation, I'd take that with a pinch of salt.
SupraJames
As for the 'no modification' installation, I'd take that with a pinch of salt. Yeah, like header tank relocation, power steering cooler relocation, I had to remove an oil cooler when fitting my FMIC, also had to modify my front bumper..! Nic
think i'll mail them with some questions and request for some pics etc shall update when i hear back from them Also ask what make the cores are and where they are made, my guess is that it is a Hybrid IC, these are made just over the border from here in China. Some members have had problems fitting the stock airbox in due to the piping getting in the way.
steve single
Dont think its the hybrid. clamps are different, there jubillee clips not t-clamps.

hodge
I emailed the guy about this intercooler and he seems to think that the power increase would be between 30 - 55bhp. Does this sound realistic.
JohnA
It depends on how much more boost you intend to run. If the car is kept stock it's hard to even get double figures (compared to a decent SMIC that is).
Alex
Core looks low quality and if it's anything like a newly released SMIC the internal setup wil leave a lot to be desired.

Maybe but, the clamps should be the t-bolt clamps if it was the hybrid, also the mounting plates look a bit strange. The Hybrid`s only have 4 mounting places on them 2 on top and 2 on the bottom.
