dave barratt
Hi, Just bought some Exchange Turbo's. I was wondering if it's possable to remove the Ally castings (I have noticed a large circlip that seems easy enough to remove. So I could get them polished. Chris Wilson
If you are VERY careful not to ding the blades of the compressor wheel, or bend them, yes, take off the clip and remove the housings, mark their orientation first with a scribe mark, and don't polish it off.... Robert
Turbo number 2 is very difficult to remove this way without hitting the blades.
Chris Wilson
I am assuming these are already off the car. The compressor blades are alloy, so will dent or bend rather than break. It's the turbine blades (exhaust wheel) that's ceramic on the J-Specs.
