SkyJawa
Right, had a measure - attached a pic for a key! At mark no. 1 on the pic theres 3cm spare, mark no. 2 there's 4cm spare and no. 3(which is outisde of calliper to wheel rim itself) is 2.5-3cm. At the rear no.1 is 5cm, no.2 6cm and no.3 4cm - though not expecting rears will cause a prob!

SkyJawa
Reckon I'll get the UK's under?
Terminator
I don't think so, those numbers look too small. JMHO. I have UK's alround and to be honest you just have to try your wheels over a set of UK's. I have done it here several times with members of the BBS, two toally different wheels both 18" with much bigger clearances than yours on JDM brakes would not fit. Other have popped on without a problem, rears all seem OK, its the fronts that are the problem.
SMW
Neil Do you still work up the road from me? If so you're more than welcome to take a look at my car if it helps you ascertain whether UK brakes will fit.
Aerotop Dave
I don't know what pads I have other than they squeal and I don't like it. What have I got eyefi?
eyefi
they r some japanese race pads, they r very good. i cant remember the brand at the moment. i think i have a front set of standard pads somewhere, i'll have a look for em tonight and mail u. if i can find em i'll send em down to u with the last 2 invoices. SkyJawa
SMW I do still work 2 secs away mate That would certainly make my life much easier, as if they don't fit then my options are made up coz I'm not buying new wheels! Would I be able to swap your wheel off and try mine on it? assuming we can jack both cars up? Of course, if it doesn't fit - but only just - I guess I could fit some small spacers as Dude said..........
SMW
Neil no problem doing this as long as you have the necessary tools cos I don't. I've got a jack thats about all! Let me know when you want to do this, I can nip out of work whenever I like.

Ohhh, hang on though to save you the postage - do I want better braking from these pads and live with the squeal, or do I want the standard ones which will be quieter but I'll crash more often? ( ) In other words... shall I stick with what I've got and just stop whinging about the noise?
SkyJawa
Dave, stop whinging mate JSpec brakes are utter crap, you NEED race/fast road pads at least!! SMW, nice one - perhaps lunchtime fri? or if not one lunchtime next week? depending on weather of course I've got a torque wrench (not sure I have the right attachment to get my wheels off so if not I'll go shopping for that tomorrow!) and a jack too, so that should be all we'll need! Once I'm sure I've got all the bits I need I'll PM you to meet up! Cheers!

Aerotop Dave
I don't like the squealing though... gonna like it even less in the summer with the top off. I know... I'll just put some oil on them. That should do the trick. :looney:
SkyJawa
LOL! Its one of those sacrifices I guess we have to make to be able to stop. Same on a lot of scoobies I know too.
