osso
Sorry for being a pain in the arse this morning but since its fine day today, i want to sort out all my little minor problems.. I've already sorted out the wing mirror, now im going to sort out the problem with the traction control and find out why i cant turn it off.. so I want to disconnect the Traction Control/Snow button on the driver's dash, and see if they were replugged when i had my clifford alarm fitted.. I have noticed there are around 5 screws holding the dash in at the top near the wheel.. are there any other screws i should be aware off? when the screws are removed will the dash just come off, or is the dash also clipped in? Soonto_HAS_soop
Lots of posts on this one, but quickly. The top of the dash has 5 screws, and then comes off. The dial surrounds just pop off and have no screws. The gear lever surround has to come off and is just a pop on/off fit. Then the main console has 1 or 2 screws (possibly) and then just pops off, don't rip it off to hard though as the wire connections will still all be on - obviously. You should be able to see if the connections are on without taking all of the wires of the back. Quick question though, do the butons illuminate when the headlights are on?? If they do, then this normally means that it is plugged in correctly - as they only use one plug. Ben..
osso
Hiya Ben, thanks for the reply, I have never seen these buttons illuminate, i didnt know they did. i never saw them illuminate when i was driving home in the dark... Think it might not be plugged in correctly? Sounds like there's going to be slap heading Simon's way at Sexton's from Matt H.
Thorin
Have a look at the tech articles on http://www.mkiv.com if you look at the boost gauge fitting guide it has photo's of how to remove it.

Soonto_HAS_soop
Yes, it came as standard. It has probably just been pushed back underneath the stereo or something. Take the panel out of the way and dig around until you find it. The 5 screw panel above the dials should just come away if you have removed all of the screws. I never have a problem with this bit. It's fiddling the dial surround out that can be a pain. Ben..
