Thermostat - JSPEC isn't the same!!

I'm going to die a death of niggly stuff before my car gets back on the road!

I went to put the nice new stock thermostat in the car, 82 degree jobbie, all gaskets in cluded, rar.

It's too bloody small.

The one that was in there before is a good 1-2 mm bigger in diameter than the new one, which is listed as "'93 onwards toyota supra 3.0" etc, and I don't want the new one flapping around in there like a pea in a boot. Defeats the object, really.

I can only assume it's a uk spec one and the jspec is different - is there a special jspec one, how much are they, where do I get em from and how can I get one in the next coupla days?

It's literally sorting this (tho I know the car will run ok without one, just obviously for running up to temp etc won't be very good!) and the irritating exhaust leak from the downpipe (who invented the angle required to tighten those nuts!), and she's back *heart will soar with joy*

Any help would, as always fellas, be much appreciated!
