Mcgoo
My wheels are 19x9.5 on the rear, I know its not ideal but will 255 40 19 tyres fit ?? I tried the spreadsheet calculator and it said they were too tall but im sure ive seen someone on here say they had fitted these?
jim_supra
With a 40 profile your speedo reading is gonna be way out. You may also have an issue with the wheels scrubbing, you should really be looking at a 30 profile
Ian W
yep, totally agree with jimbo. i run 255/35zr18s so for 19s you'll be looking at a 30 profile.

hodge
Im running on 9.5/19 with 275/30/19 tyres. The car has also been lowered. The only mods I had to do to get the tyres to fit was to polyfan about 10mm off the arch lit couldnt get 40 profiles on as the arch is level with the wheels. your better off going for the 30s and wider is always better i think anyway. toyotatom
I have 9x19s with 255/40/19s on. Sorry to hijack. Anyone know what I should run on 8x19s?
Ian W
surely your 255/40/19 will have a much higher rolling radius than a std alloy and tyre size? i.e. 245/45/16 isn't it? just checked....if the std tyre size is 245/45/16 then your 255/40/19 will be 9.52% bigger than it should be. might want to rethink those tyre sizes mate. (doesn't it look like a drag car now!?)
