A guy at work keeps a Komodo dragon (or some such scaley, forked tongued thing) , a snake, a tarantula, 2 cats, 2 budgies, 3 dogs ..& his wife  ... It's a petting zoo. Keeps the frozen mice in the deep freeze - for his snake - along with the birdseye fishfingers - and the rest of his Asda shopping.

EDIT- didn't fully read the post.

It isn't a komodo dragon, I can be pretty sure of that.

You sure it isn't a nile monitor?

He says it's a dragon. The komodo - was only thing that sprung to my mind. All I know - is it's got 4 legs, a tail, scales, teeth and a forked tongue.

Yeah pretty sure it isnt a Komodo Dragon!! They grow to about 8ft in length and eat dead and dying animals......

In fact, wasnt it one of these that attacked Sharon Stones husband and nearly bit his leg off???! :D

Dunno about SS's husband but having been within 3 feet of one and despite my zoo at home it isn't something I would want to keep and I have had retics, green/yellow anaconda's and a mangrove snake.

They are best left where they are in my opinion.

Clarkey, I would be willing to bet money that it's a monitor lizard if it is really big, if it's under 2ft then it would be a bearded dragon (very popular, very timid but personable lizard, I have 2 called dude and midge :D )

If it's green then probably a water dragon, if it's grey/yellow then a beardie.

Would be funny as f*ck if it was a komodo and you went anywhere near it. Steve Irwin ran like a girl from one and it chased him down and tried to climb a tree after him and that lunatic stares down salt water crocs.

Fom the picture that's on his PC desktop it's under 2ft. The says about 40cm. And it's green. So, it's one of them water dragon things.

Yeah, that Steve Irwin guy - is damn certifiable!
