boost gauge replacing air vent

Recommended Posts

Any of you know of a suitable boost gauge to fit in the round air vent hole next to the clock. At the moment ive got a 60nmm apexi gauge in there with an adaptor ring I machined at work but id like something a little bigger so I can do away with the adaptor ring. I think Greddy do an 80mm one that would fit into the hole with a bit of fabrication to the panel but not 100% certain. Any ideas. Or even better anyone got 1 they want to swap for my 60mm apexi 1 its got a peak boost button.

What's the problem with a 60mm in there ?

I had mine placed inside the adjustable airvent......round plastic bit..(Yes, very technical) You do have to snap out the airvent fins and use some duck tape to pad out the gauge a bit but, has been there for 4yrs now.

I can ever so slightly adjust it's position, since it's in the 'round plastic bit' if the sun hits it. Otherwise, it's a very snug fit.

If you don't have the inner section anymore and this is why it's a little too big for the gauge, get some black duck tape and pad it out, wrap it around the centre section until it's snug, you won't see the tape if you don't wrap it right to the top/face of the gauge.
