womble
If it's a case of it's gradually lost performance it could be down to a blocked heater matrix as a few peoples including mine have blocked, do a search to find out how to unblock it. LeeT
cheers womble, just done search. sounds like it is probably blocked as im sure the dealer i bought the car from put some sort of radweld through the system to hide the burst rad are the matrix pipes awkward to get to? cheers ...lee
Scooter
hopefully you can clear the blockage, if not its apparently one of the worst jobs to do on the supra:( Hope it doesn't come to this
Steve Cargill
Come to think of it, mine isn't hot anymore just luke warm. Where are the hoses to check, I've looked through the threads and can't find any pictures?
Willson
It's the two metal pipes at the firewall, 3/4" wide (ish), in the centre, at the top of the engine. easy to find. I cleared my matrix by connecting the garden hose to each one in turn and clearing the crap out. Worked loverly
Willson
Oh, yeah, you can check by feeling the two pipes when the engine is hot. Both pipes should be hot indicating hot coolant going in and out of the matrix. I suspect that one will be a lot cooler indicating the blockage. Willson
I think it's the two pipes in the middle of this pic. if not, that is the general area and at least one of the pipes.

womble
Yep that's them, the two with the grey bits on them running next to the whiteish hose.
