hob
Watch out peeps along the a217 in surrey, there is a crack command unit out to bust speeders, well at least today there was, comprising of 4 motobike police, 3 cars (inc one stationed along a grass verge with mobile speed detector) and a mobile police custody van (friggen HUGE), this little lot costs a bomb to run, so im guessing they will be cracking down uber loads through the week (both sides of a 40mph dual carridge way -pffft) Right near the BMW garage, on the way to the M25... Bobbeh
I dont think it was for speeders, more likely to catch uninsured, dodgy plates via the ANPR system. They had one down our way with a mobile command unit parked up in a layby.
JohnA
There are LOTS of uninsured cars caught in these current traps. Lots of people arrested on outstanding warrants, banned etc too. Sometimes they even have a transporter nearby, to ferry the uninsured cars that are being seized. Looks like ANPR is starting to work (slowly)
hob
Ok if it wasn't speeding police thats fine its just they do tend to be catching speeders a lot atm, in the worst parts dual carridgeways etc
Fifty
Gordon must be running out of cash - today there were at least 8! yes 8 patrol cars along the A30 into Penzance. In fact 3 of my workers got done for speeding on the way to work at 4pm.
