If you wish to buy a car directly from a dealer in Japan or from a UK based dealer they will spend some time actually looking at the car for you. When buying for the autions at Southampton buyers bid a set price per car and thus buy the cheapest available, so it tends to be substandard stock for cars bought in small quantities like Supras as the cars are not looked at individualy. As for Pajeros no problem. Hope this helps. So most of the cars on here are dodgy or crap then? Quite a sweeping statement eh? What about companies such as IBC / Autoterminal who buy a huge amount of cars in Japan to sell through auctions over here. Are they selling crap or OK ones? I think before you make such a generalisation you get evidence first eh? Yes, there is crap at the auctions but the same could be said for cars bought at Japan and imported too.
