BigRoy
UK TT Auto, so is there anyway I can retain the active lip, I understand I can have it permantly down but has anyone managed to retain the mechanism? Also relocating the trans. cooler? Where would you put it?
Darrell Payne
There is no need to re-locate the " trans" ( transmission cooler??),..... depending on which FMIC you go for,the stock power steering cooler pipes have to be removed and a replacement should be included in the kit....... Daz Many (all...?) UK cars have an auto box transmission cooler in the LH bumper aperture, this is in the way of the I/C pipe up to the throttle body, and has to be removed. I think you are meaning most kits have a revised PAS cooler pipe set up with them?

Geezabloke
Recently fitted HKS Stype to UK spec.....You cannot retain Spoiler motor and assembly. Very impresseed with HKS kit, everything fitted as per manual and good quality. Took 6.5 hours start to finish including tea breaks...

It routes underneath the cooler then back up to the throttle body... Daz
Sharpie
The end tanks are a lot different so, this might be why ? The width and height are the same it's just the depth, which differs for the fin section

Sharpie
You can see how much space it take up with it's wrap around section.
Chris Wilson
I can never remember which is the bigger I/C, the R or the S type. I can't see how you can possibly retain the stock mounting and hosing for the Uk type tranny cooler with the big I/C fitted as HKS intended, and i have never fitted the small one, so I think that explains it. On Pete Sharps car the cooler definitely had to go...
Geezabloke
The HKS S type is the smaller unit and does not need the cooler relocating..
