OK guys it seems that these are my options (Please feel free to add / correct as necessary)

1. Stick with auto ecu, live miserable life.

2. Replace auto ecu with stock 6 speed. Cheep option, and sufficient for now, but would be replaced if wanted further mods ie single or large twin turbo's

3. Replace with 6 speed ecu and get S-AFC to give better mapping. (Would it be possible to map beyond the stock ecu? ie if the stock ecu has maps to say 19 psi would it be possible to map it to say 25 psi with the S-AFC??)

4. Replace with pre-programmed ecu such as Blitz or Toms. (I like to think of this as the "Stab in the dark" option)

5. Replace with AEM ecu. Live a completely happy and future proof life.:D

Hmmmm I think I may end up hitting some middle ground here. As I said let me know what you all think.

Cheers

TBH mate it depends on future goals. If you are going to stay with stock based turbo's for a while the a 6 speed ECU will suffice, and the addition of a SAFC and an Apexi ITC ( ignition timing controller) would be beneficial, while flexible enough to allow you to run a small single. If you choose this route,I would suggest installing a set of 550cc UK injectors, a injector resitor pack, and a UK or Walbro fuel pump. This would all work ok even with a small single, say a 60-61mm wheel. Make sure you get the SAFC set up by someone using a wideband O2 sensor. I know both JPS and Chris Wilson set these up in this way.
