Steve Cargill
Hi Flash, I could give to the customary introduction of SEARCH, but.... 1) O/D basically knocks out 4th gear. You can use it on fast roads to get the revs up a bit prior to overtaking. Tops out about 120ish depending of diff. 2) Ejector seat 3) It locks the gearbox down more than just using the stick. You get more engine braking (I think) and it holds gears longer. The auto box is good and D does for most occasions. p.s. (2) actually allows you to move the stick when the engine is off. Welcome to the BBS and the land of Supra ownership. Mostly there are TT's but a growing number of NA's are appearing and in the real world they are not that much slower. quick edit - There are a few owners round you. Lets you select the gear you want rather than the box changing when it wants to. So pulling away in L, change to 2 will put you in second and leave it there until you decide to either go to D (3rd) or back to L. It wont kick down and even if you stop will stay in the gear your in. I tend to use Manu mode alot.
