Getrag
That other insurance thread got me thinking. I renewed my insurance in December with Keith Michaels with a very minor driving conviction on-board. However, that conviction just passed the 5 year mark shortly after I got insured with them. Im paying monthly so can I cancel my policy with them and try and get re-insured with them or someone else? Do they charge for cancelling policies before the year is through? What are my options? toyotasuprauk
They often charge a huge fee for cancelling mid term.
Guest gzaerojon
they should reduce the premium now its passed, they did for me and that was just changing address, i got a refund. if you cancel your insurance they may charge you, but it depends who your with and when you started your insurance. in your case they might charge as it was only a month ago. best to give them a ring and ask them, i'm sure they'l reduce your premium, why should you pay for something that doesn't apply!? markssupra
My policy with direct line said about cancellation fee (pro rata + 1 month). But when I cancelled it today after only having it since 16th Dec I am receiving a refund of £40 and saving £370 by buying online. I dont know about other insurers, but I have never had any probs with Direct Line and I have been with them for a number of years and have my home insurance with them too.
