when voyeurism goes bad

Not sure on my take on this really. It certainly isn’t very professional, especially using CCTV that should be for looking for crime etc and they were total idiots for doing it, but jail time and being classed as sex offenders!

I remember walking past a house in the marina to see two naked people getting some food in the kitchen doesnt make me a criminal.

Having to sign the sex offenders act seems really harsh to me, and to say “the women’s life has almost been ruined, her self-confidence entirely destroyed” is she having a laugh?

This is one case where I think the justice system has been too harsh and it’s not often in England that happens, you hear of people that have stolen 46 cars before they do any jail time.

It's obviously morally wrong, but has she never heard of curtains?

See, i never close the curtains when i'm in the flat i normally forget. Anyway we're two floors up so above the houses and i personally don't think anyone can see in...maybe i will start closing them now!

Although it must have been extremely embarassing and unpleasant for the woman being viewed, to give out jail time, and place the culprits on the sex offenders list is just a gross over reaction to the situation.

If they had been watching naked children, then maybe it was warranted, but grown men watching a grown woman, I'd have thought that it was natural, if a bit rude, behaviour.

It amazes me that we are fed all this "fly on the wall" TV at every opportunity by the media, a couple of guys do a similar thing, albeit misusing their positions of trust, and the legal system throws the book at them.

yeh good call Geoff - out of all male CCTV operators in the country, what % would you say had a naughty story to tell or even a stash of personal favourites.

There is one programme on Sky that is literally just CCTV footage of people "behaving naturally", back to back snippets of shagging basically.

What's the difference? (apart from the unprofessional aspect)

Well they will still be able to apply for a job as a teacher though under current legislation.
