Backing up emails in Outlook Express.

Or if you just want to do a simple backup, just open up tools -> options -> maintenance tab and click 'Store Folder'

 

copy that location into the clipboard and enter it under Start -> Run (to open up that folder).

 

with OE closed, just copy all those files. This is the method I use for transferring OE from an old computer to a new one.

That is sooo much easier than the way I usually do it and I've got to do this on my sister's PC this week - cheers mate :thumbs:

The Export option just says to export all emails to Outlook, I don't want them in Outlook I just want them backed up!!

 

I'll have a go at the folder copy when I get in.

 

My PC's been used everyday for boring stuff for about 2 years and I just know it's gonna go blue screen at some point so I'm gonna try and back up some stuff. :p
