CJ
id love to work from home but would probebly end up working in to most evenings, prob best to leave it at work....... Thats exactly what happens - especially when, like me, you live alone. There is no one there to moan about the hours you work so you end up doing more and more. Conrad
I've just got in from work and I'm freezing! I work for my old man in the building game and he's a right slave driver! Been grafting hard too, block and beam flooring (doubt most of you know what that is!)
chilli
yeah I was thinking about this earlier today, first day back after nearly 2 weeks, it's going to be tough but I think I'll ease into my work gently over a period of a few days - so tomorrow should be relaxed, I hope at least! Paul
Funny old position I'm in, my place got badly damaged in the oil depot blast 3 weeks ago and we ain't been back since. Still getting paid but it doesn't seem like one big holiday as I might get a call at anytime. Last contact with the management was a week before Christmas and they said that they hoped to be back in the first week of the new year but from what I've seen they're being a bit optimistic. The tan in the summer is ok though, but I'm pale skinned and freckly so the red lobster phase before the tan is APIA.
whitesupratt
I am looking forward to it, but i hate not knowing anyone, no knowing little things like, what they do for lunch, if your aloud out for fags, when you can make a cuppa! is those things that make you look stupid! Normaly about the first week sucks...then you get to know people, remember their names, and can be yourself, rather than all prim and proper! They usually put new people with the arselickers that never smoke, don't drink coffee and don't take lunch;) Towards the end of the week you'll realise that the other 90% of the workforce do what they like and have plenty of scams and places to hide. Good luck anyway, Paul
