JohnA
I've started a couple of threads in the past on the subject. I had temporarily disabled EGR and (to my surprise) found no benefits. The list of potential dangers led me to plug the thing back on. JSpecs and those with altered advance/fuel curves should be fine of course, but UKSpec ECUs expect EGR to be operational, so occassionally pull a lot of advance in certain loads because of it. Beware. At full throttle it's disabled anyway, so it can't affect max power. (check your EGR hoses though, you don't want the booger to be kicking in willy-nilly)
