terribleturner
If your car fails an MOT say for like a bulb etc... To qualify for the free retest, which i might add is only vaild between the time it fails and the end of business the next day, the car is not allowed off the MOT stations premisses. WTF is all that about??

terribleturner
We were chatting today and to make sure you get a free retest you could remove a bulb from the car. A bust bulb is on the list of things that equals a free retest while emissions on it's oen doesn't qualify.
Jake
Emissions test failure DOES qualify for a free retest
Jake
the car is not allowed off the MOT stations premisses. The garage don't have to enforce that. It's up to them

RobAce
been on the phone to my dad (an ex mot inspector) he said that if you fail on a free re testable item e.g visual checked items (bulbs, seat belts) you can take the car away as long as it is back buy the end of the next day. but if any one wants an mot pre check he now does that
