SteveR
Route the aerial cable away from mains cables, keep aerial cable as sort as possible. It maybe that the digital Tx isn't in the same direction as the Analogue one mate. Try a portable antenna if you have one - and oneof theose £5 plug-in signal boosters (as close to the antenna as is possible) if youv'e got one (if not nip down to Argoose). RedM
How old is your antenna? You most likely will have to get a new one even though it gets 'normal' channels. We live surrounded by hills and we had to get a super dooper digital aerial to receive Freeview even though the transmitter is only about five miles away! Bobbeh
You can pick up booster kits from most Electrical retailers as they were popular when C5 was first broadcast. We have a weak signal with our Freeview box too, and this is something I'm currently looking at too. Thank god for Cable
Jurgen-Jm-Imports
its annoying when u buy something then u need something else. JUST PLUG IN AND WATCH (YEAH RIGHT)
RedM
Hmm.... we chose a high-gain aerial designed for receiving digital signals. It looks like a normal aerial but has fookin loads of extra spikey bits. Works a treat. The picture we get is breathtaking at times.

SteveR
Try a cheapo booster thing first, perhaps with a portable antenna (yes it's not tuned for the digital signal but if you're near a Tx then you'll be fine) you might get lucky rather than having to fork out ££s for a new antenna Oh yeah, and if the cheapo way doesn't work just send it all back to Argoose - nothing lost This is the type of booster I'm on about. RedM
Jurgen, Our aerial cost about £150 which included fitting. We didn't use a signal booster because I'm a bit of a signal purist and don't like to many obstacles between the aerial and the screen.
Suprachargedtt
You can get better aerials from £30-£60 and to fit its just a direct swap over from old to new, I would think its down to your aerial as the digital signals are broadcast on a wideband width where most people have narrowband aerials hence why they cant pick up all stations etc... Jurgen-Jm-Imports
cheers for all the advice, but the only ariel in the garage is the one that come with the tv, does it mean i need a proper ariel on the roof or just a better one on the tv itself or these booster things? however i will try tomz the booster one cheers steve
Suprachargedtt
Boosters are a good idea but i doubt it will work well with your portable aerial, but every area is different so it could work where you are! Best bet is to go to argos because if it doesnt work then you have a "No Quibble" 14 day refund period! Idealy i would recomend just a normal £30 wideband aerial and some cable as you cant beat a main outside aerial for reception...
