i'm looking for some new music, have you been listening to anything good lately?

big players at the moment:-

•super furry animals "rings around the world" - welshies doing good

•a perfect circle "mer de noms" - still don't like 13th step

•amon tobin "supermodified" - samplertastic

•sigur rós "Ágætis Byrjun" - probably the most beautiful album ever

•sigur rós "takk" - the new one

•damian marley "welcome to jamrock" - the marleys carry on the tradition

•doves "some cities" - big coats and fine tunes

•gorillaz "demon days" - just keep getting better

Propagandhi - Potemkin City Limits and loads of their old stuff.

Off Minor - Bonkers jazz tinged hardcore shouty stuff

Converge - Bonkers hardcore shouty stuff

Dillenger Escape Plan - Bonkers jazz tinged hardcore shouty stuff

I think theres a pattern here!

All are good :)

Creamfields has a good house/funky disc and a great 2nd disc with great trance on it and its mixed by Ferry Corsten so you find find me complaining.

Godskitchen is 3 disc, one house, trance and the 3rd electronic/industrial. 1 + 2 are very good, the 3rd is a little too funky for me but still has a few good tunes on it.

Again, Judgement Euphoria is trance, on 3 discs, not much variation just good banging tunes. Judge Jules and Eddie Halliwell mix on 2 of the discs.

Cant go wrong with the first 2 tbh.

why do you have to be so mean  :D

I'm definately turning wierd because my favourite song that i've heard recently is "Trippin'".... yes by Robbie Williams......

Hehe, no worries, its good to mix it up, I usually opt for a change of pace.. something soothing to the soul like Pantera, Metallica or Slayer

Queens of the Stone Age (all albums) and the Kings of Leon are currently 'rocking my boat'.... :woot:

If you like Signor Ros... have you tried My Bloody Valentine? I'm recommending Lovess and Isn't Anything... very good.. also anything by Sonic Youth.. start with Goo, Dirty or Daydream Nation....

;)

funnily enough i dug out "sister", "evol" and "daydream nation" a couple of weeks ago, it was great to hear them again. i stopped listening after goo though, they seemed to loose it a bit. probably worth a revisit though.

never been a huge mbv fan but then again i have only heard one album.

ARCTIC MONKEYS ARCTIC MONKEYS ARCTIC MONKEYS!  :limp:

No album available yet as it's not been released, but loads of stuff on the net.

Check out http://isohunt.com/torrents.php?ihq=arctic+monkeys&ext=&op=and

The one you want is the 6th one down with covers and video. Please download it, you don't know what you're missing! Superb!

Saw them at The Wulfrun in Wolverhampton couple months ago and they were awesome. They're also on the NME tour with Maximo Park - tickets go on sale tomorrow at 9am!

Oh btw, The Subways rock too!

Yeah, Evol is my favourite of the lot... don't turn your back on 'the yoof' though, try their latest offering 'Sonic Nurse'... you'd be surprised, it's back to their roots a bit..
