Branners
this discussion is split across two threads at the moment and I cant remember which one I keep posting in. Can we pick a thread and perhaps stick to the discussion in that one? JB
dangerous brain
I'd just go with the other stuff first and then go hybrid or single. Sounds like you are most of the way there. Put some decent cams in water injection and you'll be up where I am. Then research hybrids and singles themselves as both singles and hybrids have in themselves whole different options. Not all hybrids are created equal and it goes without saying that singles ae all different.
BURT
thanks peeps, you have all been a great help. will let you know the outcome, i love the way the twins work, it works good for me, so gonna go the hybrid route, i've done pretty much all the supporting mods, so just leaves the fueling and turbos, are my j-spec turbos worth anything, they only have 40.000 miles on them? dangerous brain
Worth what someone is prepared to pay for them really. I sold my spares for £100 as I wanted to shift some kit out of my way. If someone needs them because theirs have blown you could get up to £300 for them I guess. I can reccomend you get the 264 cams before you go hybrids. You will see a nice bit of power increase just from these.
Justin
sorry lads i was talking about hybrids, if i used a bigger fuel rail and 650 would i achieve the 500 mark without stressing the twins and egt's I have Hybrids running over 500hp (Dyno is on here somewhere) at 1.5bar with 550 injectors and SAFC but 2 additional injectors in the throttle intake that kick in at 1.5bar to keep temps down. Trouble is mate I reckon the J-Spec tubbies in my older Supra were better. I find that with these hybrids by the time the big power has spooled up ready for you to unleash it's time to hit the brakes! I had to buy a torque converter to 'bypass' the first turbo. Now the car is an animal. I would go single.

BURT
as for waiting for the secocnd to come on boost, matt harwood mentined something about a switch that can bring both on boost together, would that help solve it instead of the stall converter? dangerous brain
Stall converter is just to get the car off the line with the boost allready on-song isn't it? Using the parrallel conversion or "true" twin turbo only makes the lag worse not better as it raises the RPM that the first turbo comes in at and really you would go for a single if thats the kind of turbo cut in that you wanted. Hybrids will give you the sort of power you are asking about with the supporting mods you have and at the price is a steal. Its also going to give you the same sort of drive you have now albeit maybe a little laggier
