Just hit 53K

131,000 and still running. Blew the turbos and changed the original clutch last year, changed the starter this year and apart from that nothing else has failed.

 

I expect to keep mine for another 2 years or so and then change to a VVTi import, should be nice and cheap by then.

no need to be sad, means you can swap to a much better model without spending a fortune doing it. I bought my first mkiv for £15k, second one for £10k. I doubt I could even shift my UK spec for £5k now with its mileage and mods, gonna run it until it dies a death and then rip the bits off and put them on the next car.

 

Im a heathen really, I plan on ripping the sequentials out of any new car I get and dropping a single straight in. I love the kick in the back the single gives, its currently no quicker than a well sorted sequential but it has so much more scope once its mapped and running 1.4bar.
