wonfa
i have buckled one of my rims and need to replace them as i cant find just one i want to use the tyres that i already have on them as they are all new potenza's they are 245/18's at the front and 265/18's on the back what width rims will fit these as ive seen a few sets that i like with the correct 114.3 sizing but all vary in widths from 7.5 up to 9 but no 1.0 which are what are on the back at the min. i dont want to buy a set from the net and find my tyres are too fat! wonfa
Jake
245/45/18 would fit best on wheels between 8" and 9½" wide For 265/40/18 you'd want between 9" and 10½

Pete
Discontinued wheels. I have the same. Do you have any of the centre caps or are they all missing? I lost one.
wonfa
no i havent got any caps probably got nicked off the car when it came over from the land of the rising son! another question though as it looks like im gonna get some new rims/tyres will 8J wide go on the car ok or are spacers needed as at the min ive got my volks on the front and some standard 16"supra rims with fat tyres and spacers on the back, if i dont stop moving it looks like im driving around with drags slicks on the back! wonfa
Ewen
Depending on how you buckled the wheel, you may have damaged the tyre sidewall and radial belting as well....not good on a fast car
wonfa
it was one of the back wheels that clipped a kerb, im looking for a set of rims at the min, using my original two front tyres of 245/40/18's then buying two rear tyres of the same width to fit on the rears cause im having difficulty finding wheels to fit that i like. ive found some which are 8j wide front and back and im just making sure they will be ok on the back
Jake
You shouldn't put the same size tyres on the rear as the front ones, not on a Supra. Putting 245 rears on a turbo Supra is a big no-no because they're narrower than stock. It could get you in big trouble with your insurance company in the event of a claim - like them refusing to pay out.

Many people get this the wrong way around And don't forget to make sure you are supplied the correct hub spigots with the wheels as well I beleive the Supra is 60mm A useful company i used that supply wheels @ very compeitive prices and also sell on e=-bay are as follows http://www.performancealloys.com Go on this site click on Alloy wheel bar at top FIND BY SIZE click on 18 in wheel section advanti racing wheels wheels 5 spokes with polished lip £109.00 each, first on page CLICK FOR DETAILS You will see a pic of my Supra under customers cars next to pic of wheel Excellent wheels and service ( next day) c/w with all nuts and spigots
