Opinions on swapping to a digital dash

Hi all,

I'd like to get your input on swapping to a digital dash.

I'm in the middle of replacing my Soarer ECU with a Haltech Nexus ECU and I'm stuck between keeping my factory Supra dash and having a my head unit display info from the Haltech or go with a digital dash and have all of the info visible there. Paul Whiffin put up a Short on YouTube with of a MKIV with a Haltech UC-10 for a dash and that's what got me thinking 🤔

I'm not a fan of having gauges all of the places, so I won't be going down that route. I love the factory dash but I want to be able to keep an eye on what's going on with the engine and transmission at any given moment.

Please let me know your thoughts.

As someone who went down the "gagues everywhere" route many moons ago, I'd advise against having all sorts of info beamed to you at all times. I just found myself constantly worrying about why my AFR's weren't to my inexperienced liking or my oil temps were doing this, that or the other. With the capabilities of ECUs nowadays, I'd make sure it's mapped with all the safetys you can reasonably put on it and just drive the car. If there's a problem, the ECU will do more that you'll be able to at short notice.

That being said, I've ordered a digital display that's on it's way over from Aus and am looking forward to installing it and seeing what sort of custom displays I can mess about with 😄 I'll just be looking to have something loosely based on the TRD dials with a few extra bits added to fill the empty space (I'm such a hypocrite lol)
