Terminator
VVTI's are still quite rare here but increasing in number so specific help may be a little slower than usual. I think we really need to know a little more about the car, mods etc.
steve reed
Thanks mate. The Mods are HKS Induction System and full exhaust. I think that's it. Redlines in 3rd at about 120 if that is any help.
Terminator
If the car has been speed delimited, mph /kph it could be a problem with the delimiter or mph/kph mod not feeding the right rpm singal. This is a problem on many recent imports whether VVTI or not.
steve reed
sounds possible as it was imported in feb sounds like i need to speak to the dealer before the warranty runs out thanks for the advice
Terminator
It appears that some importers don't know how to sort it out BTW JMHO Search for TRL on here.
Darren
Steve, Mine seems to hold in 3rd for a very long time I just assumed it had not hit the correct revs to change up to top gear while accelerating WOT. Have not noticed a drop in power though.....I tend to let off the power a touch it then seems to go to 4th. Darren
steve reed
Thanks for letting me know darren having read the replies and speaking to protech who fitted the delimiter it seems there is a common problem with it on the vvti they thought they had sorted it but obviously not lol
