:yeahthat: Ideally change it for the right size, if you can do it without losing too much money. Otherwise, get a matching 255/45/18 and use them together.

 

The first time you get in the car it will feel like the arse is up in the air but within a couple of mins it will feel totally natural.

Don't worry about the speedo. It will still over read but it will now be closer to accurate than it was before.

I drive like a complete loon and I've never had any problem with larger section rear tyres. In fact I prefer the slightly raised gearing and the less harsh ride you get from a slightly taller sidewall.
