BOV Removal?

Can you remove the BOV altogether? I have grown out of the BOV sound

If you dont want any noise then fit a recirc unit / kit.

 

With no BOV you will get compressor stall, like a flutter sound on lift off

I am happy with that , get it already

 

Will it damage anything , I read the WRC cars do not but if you are refreshing your engine every few KM are you really bothered

There are a few threads on the subject, search compressor stall.

 

I have run without a BOV on various cars and the turbo was fine, I believe CW also believes they will be fine, might be worth checking with your turbo manufacturer though, it could also highlight other weak areas by splitting pipes, end tanks and possibly cheap ebay copy inlet manifolds etc.

I am running my system without a BOV, havent had any problems whatsoever. The only sounds i get are wastegate chatter letting off midway boosting. Much better than a BOV imo, which i can fully understand the noise becoming a bit annoying
