Steve
Was out in the car today, went to give it some and it had a misfire. (never done that before). Have got the NGK BKR7E fitted and gapped to 0.8mm. Would i be better gapping it to 0.7mm or better going for the colder grade BKR8E gapped at 0.7mm? Also noticed it doesnt start aswell as it should (turns over longer before firing) Am running at 1.2bar with 650cc inj, HKS 264 cams with emange. b_have
I use BKR7E's gapped at 0.025" (just under 0.7mm),misfires >1.5 bar at bigger gaps.
Ian C
How old is your battery? What about your coil packs? Check the misfire tech FAQ and see if anything is relevant If it's repeatable, you can turn the boost down and see if the problem goes or stays, that helps diagnosis. -Ian
Steve
Battery is about 18 months old. On the original coil packs. (1996) Its only done it once, cant seem to get it to do it again at the minute.
