SupraSymz Posted September 20, 2005 Share Posted September 20, 2005 Left hand side drive shaft urgently needed from a TWIN TURBO. Even better if I could have the pair (left & right!) Just swopping my NA engine & 5 speed box and standard diff for a UK spec engine, 6 speed box and LSD. Trouble is the LSD has all the same mounting points, but is longer and wider! Thankfully I'd grabbed the prop shaft from the breaker that I got all the other bits from, but didn't think to grab the drive shafts. The LSD RH drive shaft is a similar length to the standard diff item, but the passenger side drive shaft for the LSD should clearly be much shorter - my standard item won't currently fit on, leaving me catching the bus to work! And no, I can't revert back to the old diff in the interim, the old diff and prop shaft combo won't connect to the 6 speed box, the fixings are entirely different. He is breaking a UK spec car (or at least the car he described has an oil cooler in the drivers side rear wheel air vent, so I'm praying it has the same diff as mine). It should arrive tomorrow, so the last part of my engine/box/diff swop will be complete. Flippin heck i hope it all works after this!
